“In the early church there was danger and disunity. But we must make every effort to keep the unity among us, prevent things from dividing us. In practice we sometimes allow secondary things to divide us. If you don’t have love on the inside, you can’t keep that bond of unity… Let us do our part by building that unity not only in the church but also in the wider community…. Jesus revealed that God’s whole effort through human history has been to prepare the way to bring us back into the Garden, to bring marriage back into the Garden.”

True Family Values seminar: Blessing of Marriage

Over 50 teachers, preachers, pastors, and community leaders came together to focus on strengthening families through Marriage Blessing, on Feb. 27, 2016, at Imani Temple, the mother church of the African-American Catholic Congregation (AACC) in Suitland, Maryland.
Archbishop George Augustus Stallings, Jr., host pastor and patriarch of AACC, led us in the first session, entitled “Ideal Marriage and Family,” focusing on the Three Great Blessings which God, our Heavenly Parent, gave to Adam and Eve, in the first chapters of Genesis. [Read more…]
