The Windy City of Chicago was honored to host more than 120 participants from the across the country at our 4th Annual ACLC Women In Ministry seminar presenting True Family Values and the Blessing of Marriage. On the strong foundation laid by True Parents, ACLC Women In Ministry has been building bridges, healing wounds and deepening understanding through religious forums studying Biblical principles and their application in today’s world. The ACLC national team was represented by Dr. Michael and Min. Reiko Jenkins, Archbishop George A. Stallings, Jr., Archbishop Sulanch-Lewis Rose, Rev. Marilyn Kotulek, and Dr. Patra Kidwell.
Dr. Tanya Edwards gave a powerful message on the Blessing. She testified that she comes from a long line of Apostolic Bishops and has pastored with her husband for many years. She and Bishop Edwards sang a beautiful gospel song for us all. Dr. Tanya’s message was powerful. Mother Moon is teaching us to get back to the early spirit of Christianity in which the movement of believers grew by the Holy Spirit and the Truth. That is what is happening now – there is a most powerful move of the Holy Spirit and Mother Moon is leading us with the truth.
“Women Stay United in Heart” and Spirit of God Uplifting Marriage and Family” was an appropriate theme for the Los Angeles ACLC Women In Ministry conference, in that the heart and spirit of God permeated the atmosphere throughout the day as participants convened on Saturday, August 12th at the Los Angeles Family Church in Monterey Park, California. “In the early church there was danger and disunity. But we must make every effort to keep the unity among us, prevent things from dividing us. In practice we sometimes allow secondary things to divide us. If you don’t have love on the inside, you can’t keep that bond of unity… Let us do our part by building that unity not only in the church but also in the wider community…. Jesus revealed that God’s whole effort through human history has been to prepare the way to bring us back into the Garden, to bring marriage back into the Garden.”
