ACLC Women In Ministry – True Family Values

August 14, 2019 by Margaret Herbers Leave a Comment

The Women in Ministry True Family Values program was a highlight of our Aug. 10 seminar in Washington, D.C., attended by 91 clergy and Ambassadors for Peace.

Dr. Patra Kidwell-Rolle

Minister Reiko Jenkins, National Co-Chairwoman, ACLC WIM welcomed the group and introduced the True Family Values program. Dr. Patra Kidwell, God’s Ministry International, presented the first talk: God’s Original Ideal. She described the Three Great Blessings, as described in the Book of Genesis, with support from other scriptures. She stated that this was God’s original plan: individual perfection (be fruitful, in the image of God), expanding to God-centered families (multiply) and a world filled with God-centered people taking care of the Creation and all human beings, thus bringing about the long awaited, Kingdom of Heaven on Earth.

The second presentation was given by Dr. Glovinia Williams, Founder of Collegiate Training Institute, who answered the question in all of our minds: What Went Wrong? Her talk covered the Fall of Man portion in the Book of Genesis where Adam and Eve, the original progenitors of all human beings were tempted away from fulfilling the Three Great Blessings and instead being cast out of the garden. The important role of Jesus to bring salvation to all humanity was realized when he fulfilled the Tree of Life as restored Adam. Dr. Williams carefully explained that the Archangel Lucifer became Satan once he succeeded in tempting Eve and then Adam away from the commandment of God.

She said, “The question is how did things such as the basis of sin, the Fall and evil and hell come into being? We must think back to the time of Adam and Eve. If we explore the origin of why they fell, it was that they disbelieved God’s Word. Secondly, they became self-centered, thirdly they wanted to love based on self-interest first.” She then asked the next obvious question: “Through what did they Fall?” She pointed out that their shame covered their sexual organs and false love, false parents, then false life, love and lineage came to exist through them…opposed to God.”

“The Coming of Jesus is Our Hope,” she said. “When we believe in Jesus, as the Savior through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit we receive the love of the spiritual True Parents…through this love, new life is infused into us and our spirits are reborn as new selves.”

Following these two moving presentations, ACLC Youth in Ministry was launched. Ambassador Star Williams, Life Enrichment Ministries, spoke on her work with youth. A former beauty queen from Oklahoma, she studied what drives a mass shooter to kill people. She concluded with, “They have nothing to live for, they have no hope.” She said that we must give young people hope and a way to create a healthy legacy.

Along with her mother, Dr. Gwyneth Williams, and until recently her 109-year-old grandfather, she has traveled the world speaking about these issues. Her mother asked every table to take a square of cloth and write their name, organization, date and inspiration to be added to the 30-foot quilt that travels with them to over 26 nations.

Mrs. Kaeleigh Moffitt, National Youth Ministry Coordinator for FFWPU, talked about her challenging yet fulfilling work with youth in the US. A celebratory cake was cut and photos were taken. She said, “It is important to understand that you can love someone without agreeing with everything they say or do.” She continued, “The most important thing is to love. This made me a better mom, wife and daughter.” Her work in youth ministry has grown her heart a lot and realized that teenagers are ‘what they feel.’ They need an authentic expression of truth, she added.

Ambassador for Peace appointments were led by Dr. Michael Jenkins, UPF Chairman, USA, followed by lunch.

A musical selection was offered by Min. Ginger Cornwell, singing Every Praise (Hezekiah Walker). Archbishop Sulanch Lewis-Rose, National Co-Chairwoman ACLC WIM, introduced the keynote speaker, Archbishop George Augustus Stallings, Jr., founder Imani Temple and Director Interreligious Assoc. For Peace and Development, N. America (IAPD).

Archbishop Stallings spoke with passion and spirit about the awesomeness of human beings who are created in the image of God. I Cor. 3:16 specifically calling believers the “Temple of God” where God dwells, ‘having the Kingdom of Heaven within us,’ he added. He said he uses the term: “Namaste” a Hindu greeting meaning, “The God in me recognizes the God in you,” and if we all followed this idea there would be no division between God’s children. He said that, “We all want to see God, but that the image we seek is compromised, compartmentalized, co-mingling God and evil. Evil being the one who wants to bring down the Kingdom of God,” he added. He continued, “We cannot see each other as brother and sisters because we can’t see the God in each other because we are filled with sin.” We seek divine alignment, conformity with God’s will towards perfection, he added. He used the quote of Rev. Donnie McClurkin, “A saint is a sinner who fell down and got up.” He concluded by saying, “Jesus had to come to restore what Adam lost. But we can’t understand Jesus without understanding Adam and Eve (their mission and mistakes). We can’t understand Father and Mother Moon (founders of ACLC) without understanding Jesus.”

A love offering was taken followed by a toast to marriage. The Blessing of Marriage and Family is a sacred dedication of husbands and wives to marriage, it is a sacrament of ACLC. Rev. and Mrs. Ernest Patton, Director Sub-region 2 of FFWPU, led the juice toast followed by a prayer asking God’s blessings on all married couples given by Dr. Massimo Rolle and Dr. Patra Kidwell Rolle.

A video, “Peace Starts With Me” was shown covering both the Los Angeles, California and the Las Vegas, NV revivals of Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, wife and co-founder of many peace oriented organizations world-wide, with her husband, Dr. Sun Myung Moon (dec.). Mother Moon’s victorious speeches in Africa were also highlighted in the video.

November 16, 2019 Dr. Moon will speak at Evangel Temple in Maryland, all clergy and church members are invited to attend this inspiring gathering beyond denomination, race or nationality.  A 20,000 gathering of clergy in New York City on December 28th with complete the whirlwind world tour of Dr. Moon.

The Call to Action was given by Dr. Michael Jenkins, Dr. Mankekolo Mahlangu-Ngcobo, Life Restoration Ministry, Empowerment Temple AME church and Mrs. Angelika Selle, pres. WFWP, USA.
