Over 120 clergy and youth from five states gathered at Dallas-Ft. Worth Family Church on Saturday, July 7th for the fourth ACLC Women In Ministry (WIM) seminar in 2018. Centering on the theme “Women – God’s Heralds of Good News for the Family, the Community, the Nation and the World,” women clergy have presented True Family Values to over 400 guests at events in Chicago, Washington, D.C. and New York.
Most outstandingly 44 Clergy, Native leaders, Native youth and many family members drove all the way to from Oklahoma to attend the event, Rev. George and Mrs. Eleanor Akeen of the Cheyenne-Arapaho from Oklahoma came with 30 families and friends. Five clergy and family members came from Austin, TX, and First Lady Faye McDonnell from Las Vegas and Evang. Rita Pritchett from Chicago, IL attended.
Rev. Marilyn Kotulek emceed the program. Prayer by Pastor Robin McMiller of Austin, TX opened the event, and Rev. Thelma Smith, OK read the mission of ACLC WIM.
Archbishop George Stallings, ACLC National Co-Chair, gave a powerful message uplifting the role of women in such a time as this and also asked everybody to have a new wineskin to receive a new wine given in the program. The Seminar presentations were “God’s Original Ideal” from the Principle of Creation and “What Went Wrong” from the Fall of Man, as well as the Blessing of Marriage
and the keynote speech.
The presentation of God’s original Ideal was given by Rev. Sue Nickel, founder of International Victory on the Third Day, Oklahoma. She is new to ACLC but she gave a special presentation based on her experiences in life of faith and ministry and her appreciation of the words of True Father and True Mother. Her presentation brought much deeper understanding of the 3 Great Blessings and touched our hearts and spirits deeply.
I was deeply touched by each speaker at the ACLC Women in Ministry Family Conference in Dallas. I also was deeply touched by the out pouring of love and many kind words given to me on speaking how to bring balance to the family which brings forth a harmonious family. I was so happy how the young people were touched and excited about the teaching. — Rev. Sue Nickel
Dr. Glovinia Williams, founder of the Collegiate Training Institute, VA, spoke on “What Went Wrong.” She conveyed the content with humility but with very firm conviction. The words became truly alive into our heart and mind.
We deeply appreciate their courage to give these presentations by taking time for serious study and prayer.
After a wonderful fellowship at lunch, we came back to the Chapel and Rev. Kotulek prepared the spiritual atmosphere. Beautiful songs were sung by Evang. Patricia Washington, Evang. Aquilla Butler, Evangelist Rita Pritchett and Keynote Speaker Dr. Linda Holliday’s three associates.
Mrs. Fusae Jackson introduced their women’s ministry, in which Japanese sisters have been making 1000 Japanese origami paper cranes with sincere devotion to offer to families of 6 police officers who were shot last year. The 6000 cranes were exhibited beautifully.
Dr. and Mrs. Michael Jenkins explained the significance of the Blessing of Marriage of True Parents and held the Holy Wine Ceremony, bringing all the couples in the audience to the front. Rev. and Mrs. Clark gave the Blessing Prayer. Many new couples were blessed by the ceremony.
The highlight of the event was the keynote address by Apostle Dr. Linda Holliday, Senior Pastor of I’ve Been Chosen Ministries International. She brought more than 15 of her associates as guests. Rev. Debbie Staples came from Ohio to support her and hear her message.
Everyone said, “our prayers had been answered”. The Lord used everyone for His Glory! We all were encouraged and blessed. Our youth were excited to see the hand of God move. They understand how important everyone gifts and talents are for the advancement of the Kingdom and are excited to continue to be used by God. From the anointed singers to all of God’s speakers were anointed for this conference. Everyone truly knew the Lord did the work through them and they give God all the Glory. — Rev. Marilyn Kotulek
Her message on the theme of “Women- God’s Heralds of Good News” was so spiritually anointed that we could feel her preparation in prayer for all the women who have given their lives to do God’s will. We felt God’s heart and tears for each woman. Then she testified to True Father and True Mother about their amazing work for bringing us together and the work for God’s providence at this time.
Dr. Holliday is still recovering from 19 major back surgeries in the past year but we could feel she gave everything to speak to us. God bless you, Dr. Holliday.
We concluded with a prayer by Archbishop Sulanch Lewis-Rose, feeling deep appreciation for coming together and a new determination for the effort to fulfill Vision 2020 with True Parents.
