Looking back, the theme of Responding to God’s Call underlay our July 20th prayer breakfast, convened at Minnesota Family Church. Host pastor Rev Hyungtae Ha talked about the international scope of Father and Mother Moon’s ministry, and how men and women from enemy nations were inspired to be blessed in marriage together as a way to help accomplish World Peace.
After a wonderful meal we retired to the Sanctuary where our keynote speaker had invited a wonderful musical friend of his to bring the Holy Spirit. After the Unity Prayer our great brother who attended the Las Vegas Convocation last month introduced his 14-year-old daughter to read the ACLC Statement of Purpose.
Pastor Ron McConico, our keynote speaker, shared a very interesting interpretation of the four winged creatures of Ezekiel. You may remember they had heads with four faces: front, back and both sides… also they had wheels. He likened the wheels to a gyroscope and talked about how each of us has a calling in our lives and sometimes, while our mission goes forward, we use different initiatives to make that mission happen. The different initiatives are like the four faces, as we change from one to the next. And the gyroscope is like the constantly propelling Holy Spirit push inside of us to continue with our mission, even during difficult times. It was a very provocative message and we’re so grateful to hear the Word he so carefully prepared.
Then we showed the 10-minute video of Bishop Noel Jones video speaking at the National Convocation. The last few lines are as follows:
“You judge a tree by its fruit! And there’s nobody in here that can deny the significance of the fruit that we have seen exhibited by her (Mother Moon’s) response to her calling! …She has brought all of us together to tell the world that we CAN get together, we CAN have Peace and we CAN solve the difficulties of the world…”
A year ago Reverend John Turnipseed (who was filling in for our key pastor Reverend VJ Smith this particular Saturday) had talked about how ACLC should not be just a monthly gathering and event, but a Movement. We encouraged him to elaborate on what he said a year ago and he did an amazing job of calling us all to action.
Rev. Ha showed the wonderful vision for the upcoming event in Chicago on October 19. Rev Turnipseed let the attendees know how impressed he is about the future events. God really answered our prayers, thanks to the devotion of everyone, here and all over the nation.
To God be the glory!
