“In order for children to grow spiritually, marriages must be kept holy and sacred.” Our prayer breakfast keynote was given by Pastor Mabel Korley of Lighthouse Chapel International as part of a heartfelt presentation on building and keeping successful marriages. Thirty clergy and guests gathered on July 9, 2016 in Columbus, Ohio at the Family Federation chapel.
The program opened with the video “The Power of True Love,” a wonderful testimony to the value and significance of the Marriage Blessing. Rev. Lester Reese spoke on “God’s Ideal of Family,” emphasizing the importance of God-centered marriages in the building of a productive and peaceful society and nation. It indicated many points of the biblical principles of creation and the value and significance of the Three Blessings given to Adam and Eve as recounted in Genesis.
Minister Robert Jackson then read selected scripture readings in preparation for the keynote speaker. Passages cited were Genesis 18:19, Ephesians 6:1, and Titus 2:3.

In her address Pastor Korley also quoted Scripture, Colossians 3:17-18 concerning the spiritual roles of husbands and wives. She then cited scripture again with Ephesians 6:1 concerning the role of children to parents. Pastor Korley concluded her talk saying how important it was for grandchildren to love God.
We are also grateful to Evangelist Linda Hancock, who gave the opening prayer.

“I didn’t realize that Rev. Moon had been doing such wonderful activities world-wide. I am available to help and support any future events. My bishop really supports families and I want to connect this more deeply with him.” —Min. Robert Jackson
