“In the early church there was danger and disunity. But we must make every effort to keep the unity among us, prevent things from dividing us. In practice we sometimes allow secondary things to divide us. If you don’t have love on the inside, you can’t keep that bond of unity… Let us do our part by building that unity not only in the church but also in the wider community…. Jesus revealed that God’s whole effort through human history has been to prepare the way to bring us back into the Garden, to bring marriage back into the Garden.”

Atlanta ACLC is focused on hosting a September True Family Values Award Banquet as part of a Marriage Blessing initiative in Georgia. When ACLC National Co-Chairman Dr. Ki Hoon Kim visited Atlanta in March, a core team of clergy met with him, eager to revive the Atlanta Chapter of the ACLC and committed to holding monthly meetings in Atlanta to build momentum and expand the network.
The goal is to have 300 participants at the banquet, with the Governor presenting the awards to the awardees. To prepare for the awards banquet, ACLC will hold a monthly ACLC breakfast. Upcoming events will focus on issues of marriage and parenting, with themes including “Why we marry,” “Enriching your marriage,” “Protecting your marriage,” “A marriage ministry for your congregation,” etc.
The core team established a new umbrella organization to “make marriage great again” in Georgia. The name will be something like, Georgians for Healthy Marriages and Families. One of the goals of the GHMF is to share the Marriage Blessing with 100 couples in each of the fourteen U.S. Congressional Districts in Georgia.
The next ACLC breakfast will be on Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
